The Griswold Company is an independent floor based brokerage firm offering agency execution for equities in all available pools of liquidity. Our Sales Representatives and Floor Brokers provide full coverage of listed and Nasdaq stocks from our booth at the New York Stock Exchange.

Our company was founded in 1988 by the McCooey family. Over the past two decades, Griswold has survived the many upheavals and dislocations experienced by all of us in the securities industry.

Despite aggressive introduction of technology in the execution process, we continue to believe in a relationship approach, which focuses exclusively on the needs of our customers. In addition, we remain committed to the idea that floor professionals can provide expertise in an agency or negotiated market. In fact, it is during volatile breakout situations where human involvement proves to be most valuable. However, we embrace the hybrid market concept, therefore making full use of an order management system, algorithms and a number of electronic trading venues.

Over the past year, Griswold has taken advantage of consolidation on the Floor by forming a number of strategic partnerships adding sales personnel and brokers to our staff. We strongly feel that these additions will enhance our ability to service our clients with even more timely responses to their execution needs.

  • Griswold has one of the largest agency-only brokerage firms on the NYSE Trading Floor. The firm’s experienced sales traders and brokers provide full coverage of all listed stocks. To complement the firm’s NYSE presence, Griswold also offers an agency-only OTC desk. Griswold’s OTC traders utilize smart order routing systems providing clients with instant representation in multiple pools of liquidity.

    From the beginning to end of a client’s trade – from first point of contact with sales traders to clearing and settlement reports managed by Griswold’s in house Operations Group – Griswold provides seamless dedicated service.
